ITINERARY

Day1: Arrive Delhi

0n arrival representative would meet & assist at the airport. Transfer to the hoteland check in. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Delhi -Mathura

New Delhi, reflects the legacy the British left behind. It also marks the division in the life-styles and the division in the walled city.
Morning visit QutubMinar, the tallest stone tower in India and Humayum Tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden- tomb on the Indian subcontinent.
Drive past the imposing India Gate, the Parliament building and the RastrapathiBhawan, the President’s residence.
Later visit to Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi; drive past the Red Fort. The magnificent Red Fort, overlooking the river Jamuna was built during the years 1638- 48 when the Mughul Empire was at its peak. The tour continues to Jama Masjid, one of Asia’s largest mosques and which is viewed from the outside. Enjoy the rickshaw ride at Old Delhi. Drive to Mathura. Mathura is related with the birth and childhood of Lord Krishna. Upon arrival check -in at hotel.

Mathura is a part of the great northern plains and is situated on the western bank of the river Yamuna. It is famous as the birthplace of Lord Krishna, an important deity in the Hindu religious pantheon. It is an important pilgrim place of the Hindus and one of the seven most sacred cities in India. The main pilgrim centre in Mathura is the Shri Krishna Janmbhoomi temple. In the evening one can visit the temples and attend the aarti. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Mathura- Vrindavan -Delhi

Early morning drive toVrindavan. It is associated with the childhood exploits of Lord Krishna.Vrindavan is also famous for its various temples. The main temples are GovindDev Temple, Rangaji temple, BankeyBihari temple, ISKCON Temple, RadhaBallabh temple, Madan Mohan temple, Pagal Baba temple and the Nidhi Van temple. In the evening drive back to Delhi .Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Delhi- Haridwar

Early morning drive to Haridwar. It is on the banks of River Ganges (Ganga) and located at the foothills of the lower Himalayan Range of the Shivalik mountains. It is an important pilgrimage site for Hindus. When the Ganges leaves the mountains and enters the plains, Haridwar is the first major town on the plains.Haridwar has earned fame as being the place, which has been blessed by the trinity of the Lords Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma.

It is also one of the major Shaktipeeths. Down the ages, Haridwar has purified the mind, the body and the soul of people not only in spiritual or religious terms but as a major learning centre for arts, science and culture. Upon arrival check-in the hotel. Afternoon visit Mansa Devi temple and in the evening attend the ‘Aarti’ at Har Ki Pauriwith thespectacular view of the Ghat. Overnight at hotel.

Day 05: Haridwar- Rishikesh-Haridwar

Begin with full day excursion of Rishikesh, a very important Hindu pilgrimage site. It is also a cluster of number of Ashrams and temples giving the entire place a spiritual feeling. The ceaseless flow of the river, regarded as Goddess Ganga adds to the beauty and the purity of the place. Along the river, the area is filled with thick green forests in the all-mountainous region. Rishikesh is famous for its yoga sessions that are taught here by many yoga experts. Visit LaxmanJhula, Ram Jhula, GeetaBhawan and other temples & ashrams, Later in the evening drive back to Haridwar for an overnight stay.

Day 06: Haridwar- Delhi

Morning at leisure, later drive back to Delhi. Check in to the hotel and spend the day at leisure. Overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Delhi- Ajmer-Pushkar

Morning drive to railway station to board the train for Ajmer. Assistance onarrival atAjmer Railway station. Drive to Pushkar and check-in at theHotel.

At the edge of the desert lies the tiny tranquil town of Pushkar along the bank of the Pushkar Lake. This is an important pilgrimage spot for the Hindus, which has the only temple of Lord Brahma in the country and one of the few in the world. Lord Brahma is known as the creator of the world as per the Hindu mythology.The function of Brahma creating the world – has been completed, while Vishnu (the preserver) and Shiva (the destroyer) still have relevance to the continuing order of the universe.The lake has a mythological significance associated with it. According to myth, Lord Brahma was on his way to search for a suitable place to perform a “Yagna’ (a fire sacrifice) while contemplating, a lotus fell from his hand on the wart and water sprouted from that place. One of them was Pushkar where Lord Brahma performed” Yagna”.

In the afternoon visit Pushkartemples.The most famous and the only temple in India dedicated to Brahma. Also visit the numerousghats run down to the lake. Evening at leisure.Overnight at hotel.

Day 08: Pushkar – Nathwara – Udaipur

Morning after breakfast drivetoNathwara.
Nathwara is situated 48 km north of Udaipur,Nathwara has the famous Sri Nathji Temple which is an important shrine for Vashnavites. The black stone Krishna image that is housed in the temple was brought here from Mathura in 1669 to protect it from the destructive impulses of Aurangzeb. According to legend, the getaway vehicle, a wagon, sank into ground up to the axels as it was passing through Nathwara. The priests realized that this was a sign from Lord Krishna,Sri Nathji temple was built on the spot. Continue drive to Udaipur. Arrive and check-in hotel.Overnight at hotel.

Day 09: Udaipur -Eklingiji -Udaipur

Early morningdrive toEklingiji. The fifty feet high Eklingji temple has a multi- faced image of Lord Shiva made of black stone. The various faces of Shiva can be seen in the four directions – the sun is east, Brahma in the west, Vishnu in the north and the Rudra in the south. In the centre of three images is the Shivlinga which is encircled by a silver snake. In this temple, Shiva is depicted with his family, Parvati and the elephant god Ganesh. Images of Yamuna and Saraswati are also present. Specially attractive are the doors of silver which show Lord Ganesh and Kartikya. Near the temple, are the temples of Ambamata, Ganeshji and Kalika. The trunk of Ganeshji is towards the right although generally it is found to be facing the left. Drive back to hotel for breakfast.

In the afternoon visit City Palace, moulded in soft yellow stone, its windowless base is crowned with ornate turrets and canopies. Part of the Palace is now a museum with its marble and granite walls laden with brilliant miniature paintings and decorated with coloured glass and mirrors. The tour continues to the garden of the Maids of Honour and BhartiyaLok Kala Museum. At sunset cruise around in a boat amidst the romantic waters of Lake Pichola.Overnight at hotel.

Day 10: Udaipur -Mt. Abu

Morning after breakfast drive to Mt. Abu, a pleasant retreat set amidst the lush forested hills, Mt. Abu is a green oasis in the barren deserts.Situated at the southern tip of the Aravali range the hill retreat owes its cool climate to its rich flora covering the entire hillside that includes coniferous trees and flowering shrubs. The road leading to Mount Abu is a curved characterized by arid region dotted with huge rocks in weird shapes and high velocity winds. Arrive and check-in hotel.

In the evening visit the Sunset Point at a short distance from the lake, a spectacular view of the sunset can be witnessed here in quiet contemplation of nature. Overnight at hotel.

Day 11: Mt. Abu

Mount Abu was the home of many saints and sages in the old days. It is also the place where the great saint Vashishth lived and performed a yagna (sacrificial worship on a fire pit) to create four Agnikula (four clans of fire) to protect the earth from demons. The yagna was supposed to have been performed near a natural spring, which emerged from a rock shaped like a cow’s head.

Morning visit to Dilwara Jain Temple . These temples were built during 11th to 13th centuries. They are dedicated to the Jain Tirthankaras. VimalVasahi temple is the oldest, built in 1031 AD. Gaumukh Temples site got this name because a spring flows from a sculpted cow’s head. There is also a marble structure of Nandi. Raghunathji Temple is dedicated to Raghunathji. Rest of the day at leisure.Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Mt. Abu – Ambaji – Ahmedabad

Morning after breakfast drive to Ambaji, The temple of Ambaji is recognized as one of the original Shakti pithas where, according to the ancient scriptures written about the goddess, the heart of the Goddess Ambaji fell on the earth, when her body was dismembered. It is said that the territorial ceremony or mundan of Lord Krishna, one of the ten avatars of Lord Vishnu, was performed at Ambaji.

Visit Kamakshidevi Temple Complex is where all the 51 Shakti Pith, the centre of cosmic power are reconstructed and installed in a single complex so as to give total information to the visitors and devotees of the great Shakti Sampraday about the various incarnations of Adhya Shakti mataJagadamba, Kumbharia Jain Temple: a wonderful ancient piece of architecture, KoteshwarTemple ,Someshwar Temple and Kumbheshwar Temple. Further continuedrive to Ahmedabad. Upon arrival assistance and check-in hotel for overnight stay at hotel.

Day 13: Ahmedabad – Palitana – Bhavnagar

Morning drive to Palitana. It is worth an effort to climb this 610m high hill and visit the famous Shatrunjaya Jain Temple Complex, which has 863 Temples with arches, carved pillars, and bejeweled idols ranging from 11th to 20th century. Later drive to Bhavnagar, another rich princely city. On arrival check in at the Hotel.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 14: Bhavnagar – Mumbai

Morning after breakfast,transfer to the airport to board the flight for Mumbai. Assistance on arrivaland transfer to Hotel.Day at leisure.Overnight at Hotel.

Day 15: Depart Mumbai

Transfer to the airport to board the flight for onward journey.
